Apples and now pears. Exciting times! Just like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex we are delighted to announce a new arrival – our bottle conditioned perry, and unlike them we have already thought of a name – Pear Necessity!
This is a smooth, light drink made from dessert pears with a small amount of Bramley apple juice to balance the acidity. It has been bottle conditioned for three months to intensify that well rounded smooth flavour. Pear Necessity will be great served with food or just chilled and enjoyed on a warm summer’s evening – which of course we are all hoping for.
Later in the year we will also be releasing our very limited edition Dorset Perry. This one is made from traditional Perry pears – Parsonage and Black Worcester and should have a nice fizz, being secondary fermented in the bottle while sitting on the remaining natural yeasts, finishing with deeper, more complex flavours than the Pear Necessity. Very much looking forward to this one.
